Rx elinzanetant (Lynkuet) will be a new NONhormonal med to help with hot flashes and night sweats due to menopause.
It blocks neurokinin 1 (NK1) and NK3 receptors...to reduce two chemicals in the brain that regulate sleep and body temperature.
Think of this as similar to Rx fezolinetant (Veozah) for vasomotor symptoms of menopause...which only blocks NK3 receptors.
