Two new COMBINATION antihypertensives
You'll soon see two new COMBINATION antihypertensives...Teczem and Tarka.
Each contain an ACE inhibitor AND a calcium blocker...similar to Ciba's Lotrel (benazepril/amlodipine).
Teczem contains 5 mg of enalapril (Vasotec)...and 180 mg of extended-release diltiazem (similar to Cardizem CD). It's made by Merck...but will be marketed by Hoechst.
