Wyeth will soon promote Alesse (pronounced "A-less")...a new LOW-dose oral contraceptive.
It contains just 20 mcg of ethinyl estradiol and 100 mcg of levonorgestrel...one-third less than the amount of estrogen and progestin in Nordette or Levlen.
Alesse seems to be as effective as Nordette...and will cost about the same.
