The FDA is warning people about the popular street drug GHB (gamma hydroxybutyrate)...also called "liquid ecstasy."
People use GHB as an aphrodisiac...to get high...or to slip into another person's drink to facilitate a "date rape."
GHB is a CNS depressant.
There are an increasing number of reports of toxicity...vomiting, tremors, seizures, and even some deaths.
The DEA wants reports of adverse effects from GHB. If you hear of a problem, call 202/307-7183.
