The first avian flu vaccine is now approved

The first avian flu vaccine is now approved...but don't expect people to line up to get it just yet.

It won't be available commercially. The government will stockpile it to distribute in case of an outbreak.

The vaccine has NOT been proven to prevent bird flu. But it can generate an immune response in about half of healthy adults.
