Drug reps will be promoting a new topical acne treatment called Aczone (dapsone) gel.

ORAL dapsone has been used for a long time for leprosy and other skin conditions. It was even used for severe acne before isotretinoin (Accutane, etc) became available.

But oral dapsone can cause anemia and nerve pain. The topical form doesn't...since very little drug is absorbed through the skin.
