Terfenadine off the market

    The FDA is trying to take terfenadine off the market...Seldane, Seldane-D, and the new generics from Rugby and Zenith.

    There have been hundreds of reports of arrhythmias and sudden death associated with terfenadine. The FDA says it's no longer worth the risk...now that Allegra is on the market.

    Allegra (fexofenadine) is the active metabolite of terfenadine...it's just as effective, but without the risk.
