Two new drugs for multiple sclerosis

    You'll soon see two new drugs for multiple sclerosis...Copaxone (glatiramer acetate) and Zanaflex (tizanidine).

    Copaxone is also called copolymer-1 or cop-1.

    It's a polypeptide mixture that resembles a protein component of myelin. It seems to block the autoimmune reaction against myelin that leads to nerve damage.
