Uroxatral (uro-ZEH-tral), a new alpha-blocker for benign prostatic hypertrophy

You'll soon see prescriptions for Uroxatral (uro-ZEH-tral), a new alpha-blocker for benign prostatic hypertrophy.

It's the fourth alpha-blocker for BPH...along with Flomax (tamsulosin), Hytrin (terazosin), and Cardura (doxazosin).

They are all similarly effective for BPH...but the newer ones, Uroxatral (alfuzosin) and Flomax, seem to be better tolerated.
