Community pharmacists are crying foul because Merck is launching Crixivan through a mail-order pharmacy...until they reach full production in about six months.
The idea is to limit the number of patients who START Crixivan...until Merck can ensure adequate supplies for refills. Sporadic treatment could hasten the development of resistance.
